Not just an additive...
German Scientist, Wolfgang Kluenner in 1979, developed Flashlube in Melbourne Australia. Wolfgang was a CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) Scientist and he recognised the problem of Valve Seat Recession in some engines vehicles, especially from Japan running to gas. If they run mainly with gas, levels of recession sometimes were not the same as with petrol that, at the time, was leaded. Because automotive LPG distribution was increasing, Kluenner wanted to study the matter. The answer was the Flashlube Valve Saver Kit and its specially formulated Flashlube Valve Saver Fluid, respectively. A specific protective fluid (wrongly called additive) and the kit to be mounted under the bonnet composed by a vacuum reservoir, a passing-hose and an electronic ECU measuring out injection in the fuel system and the protective fluid that automatically mixed with LPG spreads a protective and lubricating film in seat valves of engine. Flashlube Pty limited was formed in 1995 to take Wolfgang' technology to the world. Early in the 21st Century Lead Replacement petrol was taken out of supply, creating a need for a Lead Replacement Additive for pre 1986 vehicles. Flashlube quickly grew to be the leading Lead Replacement solution. Recently the fuel industry began to modify its Diesel Fuel and supply only Low Sulphur Diesel Fuel. Although environmentally beneficial, this new standard caused concern for the older Diesel vehicle industry and a solution was sought after. With thorough and lengthy research behind it, Flashlube Diesel Conditioner was introduced into the market. Its ability to lubricate (with a sulphur free formulation) like original diesel fuel, was well recognised by its 2005 Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association - Gold Award. Flashlube's use is growing rapidly into the motor vehicle, farming, industrial, transport and motorbike markets across the world. Flashlube is currently now available in Australia, Europe, North America, South America, South East Asia and India both as additive-protective in gas-fuelled engines and as additive for diesel engines. In Italy, the real reference market for automotive gas, it has been spreading with resolution and satisfaction for drivers and professionals.
